Ryan Reynolds took 45 minutes to put on his 'Deadpool' suit.

The 38-year-old actor admits it ''wasn't easy'' pulling on the tight-fitting garment every day, but thankfully, by the end of the shoot it took him much less time to get ready.

He said: ''It wasn't easy [to put on]. When it started it would take up to 45 minutes but in the end I had that thing down to 10 minutes.''

And once he did have the suit on, it wasn't very comfortable to wear.

He added to E! News: ''I'm really just wearing like a unitard. Nothing too romantic I'm afraid. But that thing is hot, man. That thing is tight.''

Despite his toned physique, Ryan - who has six-month-old daughter James with wife Blake Lively - insists he doesn't work out every day.

He insisted: ''I think there's a misconception that I spend 365 days a year in a gym. That is patently false. My wife will tell you that. She can tell you that that isn't the case.

''I do it easily for a job, but there are tons of films that I've done where I just let myself go. I'm a tall and skinny guy naturally. I suppose there's a camouflage to that.''
