Ryan Seacrest is already a busy guy, with his American Idol hosting duties amongst other things to keep him occupied, but the multi-talented media man is set to host Million Second Quiz – NBC’s reality quiz show that has been labelled as 24/7-hour live competition, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

Ryan SeacrestIs this the busiest man in America? He might be soon!

NBC will broadcast the show in primetime live from an hourglass-shaped structure in the heart of Manhattan, with players having to play Million Second Quiz 24 hours a day in order to avoid getting eliminated. The prize money is set to be unprecedented, with a $10m jackpot rumoured. "The Million Second Quiz is a genre-redefining spectacle," said Paul Telegdy, NBC's president of alternative and late-night programming, in a statement.

"It is a game, a social experiment and a live interactive event all wrapped into a uniquely sticky entertainment experience. What is exceptional about The Million Second Quiz is that it embraces technology's ability to allow everyone in America to actively participate and compete in a way that has never been done."

Seacrest, then, is a great choice to host this high profile game show. The man has his fingers in many media pies – his production company are in charge of Keeping up With the Kardashians, and he has a popular radio show. Both NBC and Seacrest's spokesperson declined to comment on if talks are in fact taking place, so nothing’s confirmed yet. The Million Second Quiz premieres on September 9 at 8pm ET and will continue airing through September 19, with a one night break on September 15.
