Jude Law's ex-wife was among a number of stars given a payout from Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) on Thursday (21May15) following an order by a judge in London.

It is Frost's second claim over hacking, following an $80,000 (£50,000) payout from the News of the World in 2012, meaning she has been given more than $480,000 (£300,000) as compensation for journalists eavesdropping on her voicemail messages.

Other British stars awarded damages against MGN - publishers of the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, and The People - on Thursday included former England soccer ace Paul Gascoigne and soap stars Shane Richie, Shobna Gulati and Lucy Benjamin.

Speaking after the hearing, Frost, who had wrongly suspected close associates of leaking details about her private life to newspapers, said, "When you lose trust in your friends, your family... it's a very lonely place to be... So when I found out I was actually hacked, things began to make sense."
