Sam Fox is ''absolutely devastated'' following the death of her girlfriend.

The former glamour model's partner and manager of 16 years, Myra Stratton, passed away on Sunday (02.08.15), after battling cancer for two years and the 49-year-old star has been left with a ''huge hole'' in her life.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ''Sam is absolutely devastated. She adored and loved Myra and her loss has created a huge hole in her life. Myra was Sam's manager but also her best friend and lover. It's a huge loss for her.''

The sad news was announced on Sam's Twitter page and the singer has appealed for privacy while she grieves.

A statement read: ''It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Myra Stratton. She was Samantha Fox's partner and manager for the last 16 years. She bravely fought cancer for the last two years but lost her battle on Sunday. Samantha asks for privacy as she grieves.''

A source has said how her loss has ''created a huge hole in her life''.

Sam first met Myra in 2003 and at the time she said she is the only person she has ever been in love with.

She said: ''I have slept with other women but I've not been in love before Myra Stratton. People say I'm gay... I don't know what I am. All I know is I'm in love with Myra. I love her completely and want to spend the rest of my life with her.''
