Sam Smith's reign over the U.K. music scene continues as his debut studio album 'In The Lonely Hour,' which features the hit tracks 'Money on My Mind' and 'Stay With Me,' is No.1 on the U.K. album chart for the fourth non-consecutive week.

The British singer, who recently performed at the 2014 MTV VMA Awards, took to Twitter to thank his global fan base for their support. "Thank you all so much. To say I'm happy is the biggest understatement of all time. I love you," he tweeted.

Smith outlasted competition from Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant, whose tenth studio album, 'Lullaby And The Ceaseless Roar,' is this week's highest new entry at No.2, the Official Charts Company reports.

Finishing in third position once again is Ed Sheeran with 'X,' and closely following in the fourth spot is Mercury Prize nominated musicians Royal Blood with their self-titled debut album. Rounding off the top five is George Ezra's 'Wanted On Voyage'.
