Oscar winning actresses Sandra Bullock and Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy are teaming up for a new untitled cop comedy movie. The pair will play "a highly-strung Fbi agent and an unconventional Boston cop" who are brought together in a bid to capture a Russian gangster, according to Variety.
Director Paul Feig - who directed MCCarthy in Bridesmaids - will no doubt believe he has another potential hit on his hands. Bullock has proven her comedy prowess in Miss Congeniality and The Proposal, while MCCarthy has been flooded with movie offers since her Oscar nominated turn as the crude Megan in Bridesmaids. She will reportedly shoot the forthcoming cop movie during her next break from sitcom Mike & Molly. Following her Academy Awards success with 'The Blind Side', Bullock has mainly taken supporting roles, though she has bringing up her child as a single mother. Of course, she has experience of playing cops, particularly in Miss Congeniality and Miss Congeniality 2.
Director Feig is still focusing on his next movie, the Weinstein Company's English remake of French flick 'The Intouchables', which features Colin Firth playing a rich aristocrat who becomes a quadriplegic after a paragliding accident.
