Sara Gilbert, the American television personality and actress, has split with ALISON ADLER, her girlfriend of 10 years. Gilbert, best known for co-hosting 'The Talk', began dating the television producer and writer in 2001, reports People Magazine.
Sara and 44-year-old Adler will share custody of their two children, 6-year-old Levi and 4-year-old Sawyer. A representative for Gilbert confirmed the split, saying, "It's completely amicable". As well as her hosting duties on 'The Talk', Sara is known for her role as Darlene Conner-Healy in the long running U.S sitcom Roseanne, from 1988 to 1997. She has also starred in episodes of The Simpsons, 24, Will & Grace and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. She began her work on 'The Talk', which she also produces, in October 2010. Her ex-girlfriend worked on television series such as 'Still Standing' and 'Family Guy'. She joined the crew of ABC series 'No Ordinary Family' in May last year, but is reportedly set to join Glee for the show's upcoming season.
Sara Gilbert, who first came out as a lesbian after meeting Adler in 2010, supports numerous organisations such as PETA, and the AIDS project Los Angeles.
