Sarah Harding hasn't ruled out duetting with her former Girls Aloud bandmates on her solo album.

The blonde star is working on her own material now the group - which also included Nadine Coyle, Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh - have gone their separate ways, but is open to collaborations.

Asked about possible duets with her former bandmates, she said: ''You never know. We'd do duets in rehearsals - me and Nadine would do a bit of banter with the band if the other three hadn't arrived.''

Sarah has promised the record will be ''edgy pop'' exploring her deep, emotional side.

She added to Star magazine: ''Everyone is expecting me to go down a rocky route, but I don't think the fans are quite ready for that! It's like an edgier pop. I love Rihanna's kind of music, with a sort of darker vibe that I can put my spin on. Obviously, there's a lot for me to write about, but I just want to raise some eyebrows and inspire people.

''There's a very deep side to me. I do have a very emotional side. I'm only human. I'm the same as everyone else - despite what's been said recently.''
