There was unsurprsingly a few questions Sarah was asked that just never factored into Carrie’s life. Way back in the early 2000’s Carrie didn't have to deal with social media they way Sarah has to now. The actress chose Instagram as her favourite method of sharing instead twitter. What would Carrie think? After all, those tricky questions she enjoyed asking in her articles would have made for great 140 character tweets. Then again, we can also imagine her taking lots of lunch time selfies with Samantha and the rest of the girls.
One of the most un-Carrie like revelations came when Sarah was asked what her favourite drink was. It’s Coca-cola, not a cosmopolitan - shocker. We also got insight into Sarah’s personal music taste, it seems she’s a jazz and funk fan, listing Parliament as her favourite band and Trombone Shorty as her favourite solo artist. That means real life Sarah must have a better understanding of jazz than Carrie had during her short fling with that jazz club owner.
Sarah as Carrie Bradshaw in 'Sex and the City'
We’re not sure why, but we do find out that Sarah didn't get to attend her prom, (aww), but if she had she would a worn a peach silk dress. What? Carrie Bradshaw, however, was a little luckier when it came to her prom night as she got to wear a pink dress with polka dots (very 80s cool) as AnnaSophia Robb showed us in ‘The Carrie Diaries’. Sadly we didn't get a peek inside Sarah’’s closet, that would have really been something. Still, the knowing look she gave when asked ‘heels or flats?’ lets us know that she probably has just as awesome a shoe collection as Carrie herself.
Ok show Sarah Jessica Parker definitely is her own woman, but who can blame us for wanting her to be the Carrie Bradshaw we expect. The good news is the actress seems to have all of the qualities that made Carrie great and more. After all how much better would Carrie have been if she’d danced to Parliament in a room full of light up globes whilst eating brownies? There probably would have been a lot less Big-induced tears, that’s for sure.
