Fans of the late nineties favourite Cruel Intentions will be delighted to learn that a TV sequel, focussed on the child of Annette Hargrove and Sebastian Valmont, is currently in the works.

According to Deadline on Wednesday (October 21st), NBC is picking up a series revolving around Bash Casey, the son of the characters played by Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, the latter of which died at the end of the original movie. It would seem that Annette was pregnant at that point, and the storyline of the mooted series will pick up on the life of the now-16 year old boy.

Robin Williams’ fans and colleagues remembered him on Tuesday (21st July), on what would have been his 64th birthday. It’s been almost a year since Williams passed away but his fans remain loyal to his memory. They have been sharing pictures and quotes of the legendary actor and comedian on what would have been his 64th birthday. Amongst those who chose to remember Williams on what should have been a happy day were people he worked with during his prolific career, including actress Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Amanda Peterson, the actress best known for her starring role in the 1987 comedy Can’t Buy Me Love, has died. She was 43-years-old and her cause of death has yet to be confirmed. Peterson’s father confirmed the sad news to TMZ on Monday (6th July).

Cruel Intentions fans got a treat this week with the premiere of the “unauthorised” stage musical. It also served as the perfect opportunity for a little Cruel Intentions reunion, as stars of the film attended the opening night of The Unauthorised Musical Parody of Cruel Intentions at Rockwell: Table & Stage in L.A.

Sarah Michelle Gellar reunited with her former co-stars and the Cruel Intentions trio shared some love.

The musical, directed by Lindsey Rosin, is filled with iconic '90s songs like TLC's No Scrubs, Natalie Imbruglia's Torn, and Ace of Base's I Saw the Sign. According to E! News’ sleuths, the ladies sang along, applauded, high fived and generally looked like they loved the show.

A brand new Scooby Doo movie has been given the green light by Warner Bros. just days after the announcement that the original Shaggy voice actor, Casey Kasem, had passed away. Whilst it's unlikely that the two headlines are anything more than a coincidence, the movie news is bound to receive a greater interest from those looking to remember the life of the radio star and actor.

The studio is said to be "starting from scratch" to create a brand new incarnation of the well-loved kid's mystery series, according to Deadline. Though very few details are known at this stage, the new movie will follow in the same vein as its predecessors in that it will be live action instead of animation.

Many will remember Warner Bros.'s two noughties live action reboots of the classic animated show, Scooby Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. The first of the two movies was an instant hit, earning $275m worldwide but its widely-panned, Razzie-winning, 2004 successor fell short of that figure by $90m and the series was halted.

We practically fell off our chair with excitement when we saw that Buffy and Angel, sorry, Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz have recently been reunited! Sarah tweeted a pic of her and her old co-star/onscreen soulmate (Buffy & Angel 4eva), also posing with Emily Deschanel, David’s current co-star.

We’d love to believe that this meant a new Buffy movie in the works, but we don’t want to get our hopes up too much. Especially since Buffy creator/genius Joss Whedon is currently writing and directing the next Avengers movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is due to come out in 2015. The People's Choice Awards kicks started awards season and the celebrities didn't let down as they came out in force and with style in Los Angeles for the fan-favourites awards show on Wednesday, 8 January. The 40th incarnation of the awards show, there was no shortage of class and glamour as the people's favourite movies, TV shows, actors and actresses were singled out over the course of the night.

With a total of four wins, Sandra Bullock was the night's big winner

Hosted by 2 Broke Girls stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs, the awards show held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles gave out almost 60 awards in total, and with four wins in all it was Sandra Bullock who ended the night with the most wins of all. Bullock's wins included Favorite Movie Actress, Comedic Actress, Dramatic Actress and she shared the Favorite Movie Duo award with her Gravity co-star George Clooney. The buddy cop comedy The Heat that she starred in with Melissa McCarthy won the Favourite Comedic Movie award.

With the fall line ups for television broadcasters across America being revealed gradually over the past weeks, CBS have thrown a curveball with the announcement of a new comedy series based on the Cameron Diaz vehicle Bad Teacher. Fringe's Ari Graynor is taking on the staring role of an angry divorcee who becomes a teacher to find her next man.

The announcement has come a week after the network initially unveiled their fall line-up, that also included the comedy Crazy Ones, which boasts Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar as its stars. The Bad Teacher re-working won't make it to the upcoming network line-up though, and is likely to be held off until mid-season at least.

Robin Williams plays an unhinged advertising genius in the new CBS comedy The Crazy Ones, with co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar, and the veteran comedian certainly arrived at the network with a bang this week. After a screening of the new show, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler introduced Williams as "the biggest get of the season, actually many seasons," and "one of the defining comedy voices of our time," according to Deadline.com.

"Nice to come through the strip club motif," he began. "Welcome to Sugar Daddy's, where old men dance for young girls." Things took an even more unlikely turn when he "likened the upfronts to the Westminster Kennel Club dog show," though noting, "but with more agents, and a little less ass-sniffing."

To be fair to Williams, everyone in the audience appeared to lap it up, especially when he reminded them, "It's been a long time since I've been on TV, 30 years, when there were much simpler upfronts - and a mound of coke." There were further applause when the Hollywood star noted the influx of networks since his last time on television, noting, "And if a little child wants to be transported to the Land Of Make-Believe, there's Fox News." He ended, "Nice to have a job where the checks will clear."
