Sarah Palin Dodges PETA Animal Cruelty Allegations By Pointing The Finger At Obama

Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin has said things again and as usual, those things are pretty hilarious. On New Years Day, the former governor of Alaska and VP candidate posted on Facebook a photo of her son standing on top of the family dog to clean the dishes. She was subsequently blasted by PETA, who are usually first on the scene, whenever something whiffs of animal cruelty. So all that might have passed under the radar of mainstream media, except she then went on to address the allegations and produce her most hilarious comments since 2008.

Sarah Palin
Sarah Palin has a new piece of wisdom to share with us all.

"Dear PETA, Chill. At least Trig didn’t eat the dog," Palin wrote. She then proceeds to attack President Barack Obama for having "revealed he actually enjoyed eating dead dog meat."

"Duck Dynasty" In Turmoil After Counter Boycott From The Show's Cast

Sarah Palin

A&E’s Duck Dynasty is in danger of going off the air, after the homophobic rant of its star and family patriarch Phil Robertson. The show, centering on the lives of the Robertson clan, a Middle American family, who made it big after the elder Robertson made a fortune from the invention of the duck whistle. The family touts their conservative values with each episode ending with everyone gathered in prayer. This week, the entire hit series was enveloped in scandal, as Phil Robertson made very public homophobic comments. The Duck Dynasty patriarch grouped homosexuality together with bestiality and said that it was “sinful” and “illogical”.

Will the duck dynasty spend Christmas on air?

MSNBC host Martin Bashir has announced his resignation after comments he made towards Republican politician Sarah Palin suggesting she should be forced to eat faeces or be urinated upon.

Martin Bashir Resigns After Sarah Palin Remarks - Who Didn't See This Coming?

Martin Bashir Sarah Palin

In possibly the most predictable story of all time, Martin Bashir has resigned from MSNBC over comments he made about Sarah Palin. The only other way this could have gone was a sacking, but something tells us this resignation wasn’t all one way.

Martin Bashir

"Martin is a good man and respected colleague - we wish him only the best," MSNBC president Phil Griffin wrote in a statement, announcing the decision for Bashir to down tools. Mr Bashir apparently offered his resignation after a meeting with Mr Griffin and upon "further reflection" of his remarks."

Sarah Palin's Car Finally Bid On!

Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin's car is being auctioned off by her hometown. The SUV is the car she drove during her time as the mayor of the city. Sadly, for the car and the city, the vehicle has failed to generate much interest - with only two bids at just over the minimum starting bid of $10 000.

The Alaskan city of Wasilla in Alaska listed the SUV on ebay and attempted to generate more interest by mentioning the previous owner's name, as reported by The Huffington Post.

The listing reads: "Surplus City of Wasilla vehicle purchased new in 1999 for Mayor Sarah Palin official use, needs new brakes, wheel seals, and idle control valve." Opening bids for the 1999 Ford Expedition started at $10 000 (£6 200).

You Can Keep Your Guns... Track Palin Keeps $1,000 Gun Collection In Divorce

Sarah Palin

Following the family tradition of conducting their private business very publicly, Track Palin’s divorce details have been published by TMZ. Sarah Palin’s oldest child is divorcing his wife, Britta and it seems that he’ll do very nicely out of the legal proceedings. He gets to keep his guns, for a start. Track and Britta jointly filed for divorce in an Alaskan court, which suggests that they have already come to an agreement regarding the division of property and childcare arrangements. They only married last year, in 2011.

Track Palin, 23, is an Army reservist and commercial fisherman. He currently earns $42,800 per year and has agreed to pay $642 a month in child support to Britta to help raise their one year old daughter. Track, meanwhile, will walk away from the marriage with a $30,000 Wells Fargo bank account, $500 in tools and his pride and joy – his $1,000 gun collection. His 22 year old soon-to-be-ex wife will walk away with a $2,500 bank account and her $4,000 collection of jewellery. And, of course, she’ll no longer be a Palin, which has to be a priceless reward, given the amount of scorn and ridicule that the family attracts.

We’ll just have to pray that Track doesn’t decide to turn his relationship woes into a reality TV programme, like his little sister Bristol did, with Bristol Palin: Life’s A Tripp, which made for pretty painful viewing.

Sarah Palin's Eldest Son Files For Divorce, Custody Matters Already Settled

Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin is both very strongly right wing, as well as very strongly Christian, and both belief systems mean she'll be incredibly unhappy about her son's filing for divorce. Sarah's son, Track Palin, has jointly filed for divorce from his wife Britta, reports TMZ.

Alaskan divorce proceedings make it really easy if a couple jointly files for divorce, because they deem it an admission that the couple have settled all finances and custody issues regarding children without needing the interference of the court. However, they did have to watch a video about the impact of divorce upon children. They have one daughter, Kyla who's only a year old and only 6 months older than the couple's marriage.

Britta and Track had been highschool sweethearts but evidently 'real life' and having a child put an enormous strain on their relationship, resulting in the divorce.

Sarah Palin: The Associated Press Are Jerks!

Sarah Palin

Speaking to Fox News yesterday (11th Oct 2012) Sarah Palin criticized the Associated Press for publishing a story that was deemed unflattering of the current Republican candidate, Mitt Romney.

Quoted on Politico.com Palin said, having been asked by Megyn Kelly about whether she considers it to be forgiveable or simply media bias, “Hell yeah, it's media bias. And it's also some sexism when you consider what the response to Mitt Romney's photo is — which is degrading and Associated Press, they’re jerks for having run that, even with the caption. I mean, absolute jerks and biased to try and taint some people’s view of Mitt Romney by running this photo. It’s embarrassing.”

Kathleen Carroll, the executive editor of the Associated Press, responded with an apology. It said: “The original caption on the photo of Gov. Romney taken Monday at a Virginia school was literally correct -- it said the governor was posing for photos with schoolchildren. But it was too generic and missed the boat by not explaining exactly what was happening. The student with the surprised expression had just realized that the governor was going to crouch down in front of her for the group photo. We amended the caption on Tuesday with that explanation, but by then many people had seen the photo and were confused by or angry about it. Those generic captions help us process a large number of photos on a busy campaign day, but some photos demand more explanation and we fell short of our own standards by not providing it in this case.”

‘Our Sarah: Made In Alaska’ Sarah Palin Memoir Features Praise From Father And Brother

Sarah Palin

Politics: The science of governmental affairs or getting your book, which features pages and pages of praise about yourself out in time for the presidential debate? “Our Sarah: Made in Alaska” a new book by Sarah Palin’s father and brother features some insights into Palin’s life growing up.

An endorsement prefixes the writings in this book, written by Sarah herself, reports The Washington Post. It reads: “Having written books of my own, I know how exhausting producing a manuscript can be. . . I hope you’ll be inspired by their stories and by the warm Alaskan spirit they reflect,” so at least now we know she endorses the amount of good things said about her. Interested in global affairs from a young age: “When she was in elementary school, Dad would bring in the newspaper and take out the sports section. . . Sarah was busy reading the front-page articles about world events.” Instead of reading the sports section, she’d play it, with a prominent basketball talent, which shaped her political dealings. “Her aggressive style of play more than made up for her lack of size and shooting ability. She simply outhustled her opponents and wore them down.” Sounds about right.

From this book, it seems as though a career in anything but right-wing politics would have been astounding. Competing in the Miss Wasilla pageant she said “Yes, I think a woman could be vice president. I think a woman could be president.”

Want To Look Gaunt Like Sarah Palin? Now You Can!

Sarah Palin

New photographs of Sarah Palin looking incredibly thin have surfaced online, though the former governor of Alaska assured fans - via People magazine - that she is 100% fit and healthy.

In fact, she's feeling so great about herself that she's ready to release a new fitness book. Palin, 48, has been known to thrown dinner parties featuring a whole host of delicious cakes - from chocolate cream pies to lemon meringues - though it appears the whole family is cutting down. Palin says the book will feature contributions from all of the clan, "Our family is writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods!" she said in an email announcing the project. The former Governor describes the book as "unique", adding, "We promise you what we do works and allows a fulfilling quality of life and sustenance anyone can enjoy." For now, there's very little detail as to what the book will actually contain, though judging by the latest photographs of Palin (who looks like she's just walked off the set of The Real Housewives), it may well be a hard sell.

To be fair, if the book fails, Palin could always, say, run for President in 2016? Quizzed by Extra TV this week as to her plans to make a run for the White House, Palin coyly offered, "I don't know. I'm not sure what the future holds."

Weight Loss Book: Is Sarah Palin Jealous Of Daughter Bristol?

Sarah Palin Bristol Palin

Is Sarah Palin getting jealous of her daughter’s time in the limelight? Or is she simply trying to capitalise on it for her own gain? Either way, Sarah Palin is writing a fitness book. Yes. A fitness book. Nothing to do with politics, which at least some would argue is her specialist subject. Not even some kind of scandalous exposé on her family life… something that people would be interested in reading. Nope. Palin has decided to let the world know exactly how she stays in shape, instead. As if anyone gives a hoot.

The 48 year-old political disaster, whose daughter Bristol Palin is currently starring in 'Dancing With the Stars', told People magazine that she – and her family – are writing a diet and fitness book, which she describes as “unique and motivating.” She told the magazine “Our family is writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods!" Palin is clearly confident that she can convince her fellow country folk to adopt the healthy lifestyle that she leads, saying “We promise you what we do works and allows a fulfilling quality of life and sustenance anyone can enjoy.”

What she hasn’t promised, however, is whether or not anyone’s going to actually publish this book. And we’re not sure that recent photos of Palin looking gaunt, teetering in skinny jeans and a towering pair of wedges are going to help her towards a publishing deal.

Sarah Palin Insists Her Skinny Frame Is Because She's Healthy; Plans To Write Book All About It

Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin, a woman who loves running so much that she decided to call her son Track, has revealed plans to release a fitness book. There were many things you could have said about Sarah Palin back in 2008 when she worked alongside republican senator John McCain as his presidential candidate running mate, but you couldn't deny that she looked in great health. Well, she's looked considerably less healthy in recent months, with new pictures showing the former politician looking extremely skinny.

However, she's obviously aware of the media's concerns about her, and Palin has emailed People Magazine to insist that she's healthy and happy, and that she plans to bring out a book that will tell us just how she got in shape. Such very, very small shape. "Our family is writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods!" Palin exclaimed in the email. The 48 year-old added that topics will be discussed in "our unique and motivating book."

"We promise you what we do works and allows a fulfilling quality of life and sustenance anyone can enjoy," she finished. Lovely stuff. There is no word on whether she has signed a deal for the work or when it will be published.

Jewellery Theft: Items Worth $127,000 Stolen From Julianne Moore

Julianne Moore Bart Freundlich Sarah Palin

Julianne Moore has been the victim of a high-value jewellery theft. The Magnolia actress had several items of jeweller stolen from her Manhattan apartment whilst it was being renovated, ABC News have reported. There were 10 items of jewellery taken, in total, with a value amounting to around $127,000. Seven of the items were Cartier pieces; the most expensive being a $33,000 Cartier platinum diamond tennis bracelet. Also stolen were four Cartier watches, with a combined value of $77,800.

The items are thought to have been removed from Moore’s apartment between June 6, 2012 and August 28, 2012, whilst the work was being carried out. No arrests have been made so far, but between 15 and 25 construction workers are known to have had access to the Manhattan property at that time. A report was filed to the police on October 1, 2012 by Julianne Moore’s assistant. The property is the home that Moore shares with her husband, Bart Freundlich and their two children; it has been on the market twice over the last few years and the six-bedroom home was most recently listed for $12.5 million. Three permits have been filed recently for interior renovation and plumbing work, according to The New York Times.

Julianne Moore’s Sarah Palin portrayal in the TV movie Game Change recently won her an Emmy award. When she accepted the award, she expressed that she was glad Palin disapproved of the show.

Thanks For The Thumbs-Down: Julianne Moore’s Message For Sarah Palin At Emmys 2012

Julianne Moore Sarah Palin Jimmy Kimmel Claire Danes

When Julianne Moore collected her Emmy Award last night (September 23, 2012), she had a message for Sarah Palin, the woman whose character she played in the political drama Game Change. The Julianne Moore Emmy win was one of the evening's highlights, as she collected the gong and told the audience “I feel so validated since Sarah Palin gave me a big thumbs down.” In a night that was rife with political commentary, Moore added that Game Change “isn't as much about Palin as the political process and in an election year, this was an examination of how we pick our leaders.”

It’s election year in the United States and the forthcoming election was never far from the topic of conversation. Jimmy Kimmel hosted the annual TV awards show – considered by many to be the Oscars of the small screen – and he was quick to bring election talk to the fore. “Are any of you voting for Mitt Romney? Oh good, only 40 Republicans, and the rest godless liberal homosexuals... Being a Republican in Hollywood is like being a Chick-fil-A sandwich on the snack table at Glee,” he joked, according to Fox News.

Game Change won four Emmys in total and it wasn’t the only politically-charged drama to win big, either. Homeland – the national security drama – made winners of its two lead stars, Claire Danes and Damian Lewis as well as taking home the Outstanding Drama Series award.
