When 26.10.2012

Jewish comedienne Sarah Silverman is questioned by paparazzi about her dad's recent feud with an orthodox rabbi who had criticised her in an open letter online. Of her father's comment to the letter, she said: 'My dad, he thought seven people would see it. He didn't know; he was just like commenting on the comment site.' She then went on to express sympathy for the rabbi. 'That comes from an unhappiness in yourself, right? When you started getting obsessed with a stranger and how they decide to have their life', she said.

The feud started when the rabbi accused Sarah of putting a career over having a family and therefore questioning her femininity by calling marriage, 'the most basic desire of the feminine soul.' He also slammed her campaigning in favor of Obama in the upcoming elections. Her father, Donald, responded by explaining how one of his daughters is married to a nobel peace prize nominee who has been listed as one of the most influential Jews in the Jerusalem Post alongside Sarah herself, and how he failed to spot the rabbi's name anywhere on that list.
