'Saturday Night Live' preached some strong truths on its latest episode last weekend, with a special music video skit devoted to reminding the world that sexual harassment isn't a new thing, and women have been campaigning to be treated with respect since the dawn of time.

With everyone talking about the various sexual harassment scandals that have been uncovered in Hollywood recently since Harvey Weinstein was exposed, anyone would have thought that this is a totally new issue. That's why Saoirse Ronan, Cecily Strong, Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, Leslie Jones and Melissa Villaseñor got together for a music video skit entitled 'Welcome To Hell' to sing about how women have always had to look out for themselves.

Just when we thought it wasn't possible to love Gal Gadot any more than we already do, she appeared as the guest host on 'Saturday Night Live' and absolutely smashed it. A blockbuster actress who doesn't take herself too seriously, the 'Wonder Woman' star was ready to make a mockery of her leading role.

In a sketch set against the backdrop of Diana Prince's home nation Themyscira, the cast of 'SNL' - including Leslie Jones, Melissa Villaseñor and Heidi Gardner - don Amazonian warrior attire and prepare 32-year-old Gal for battle. However, they are soon joined by lesbians Aidy Bryant and Kate McKinnon whose sailboat docks at the island. And that's when things got hilariously out of hand.

The curtain-raiser for the upcoming season of ‘Saturday Night Live’ will be graced by Hollywood and pop royalty, with Ryan Gosling confirmed as the guest host of the season premiere next month and Jay-Z to perform live during the same episode.

‘Saturday Night Live’ made the big reveal for the start of its 43rd season via social media on Thursday (August 24th), using a bulletin board style layout with the various guest stars names on cards.

It’s the second time that La La Land star Gosling has hosted ‘SNL’, and the season premiere on September 30th comes just a week before his upcoming film, the much-vaunted cult sci-fi sequel Blade Runner 2049, opens in cinemas on October 6th.

It was a successful day for Westworld and Saturday Night Live as both received 22 nominations each as they led the way at the 2017 Emmys. The popular NBC late-night sketch and comedy programme achieved more nods than it had ever previously done with the huge figure.

The two programmes could not be any more different in style or tone, but it will be the two programmes which lead the way upon the awards in September; Westworld has just finished its huge budget first series, whereas Saturday Night Live has now moved onto a whopping 231 nominations - breaking its own record for most nominations ever at the awards.

Lorde came over all Miss Havisham in her performance for her latest song 'Liability' on 'Saturday Night Live'. The singer is promoting her forthcoming second album 'Melodrama', which is set for release this summer, and gave two live performances on TV over the weekend.

During her performance, she sat back to back with her collaborator Jack Antonoff who was on piano, and she was dressed in a loose white ensemble of a shirt and pants with a ragged looking veil pulled up over her head. She reminded one of the jilted bride Miss Havisham from Charles Dickens' 'Great Expectations' as she grimaced her way through the lyrics about eternal loneliness.

Tracy Morgan To Make His Return To TV Hosting An Episode Of 'Saturday Night Live'

Over a year after the horrific car crash that severely injured him and killed his friend and fellow comedian James McNair, Tracy Morgan is due to make his big return to TV by hosting an episode of ‘Saturday Night Live’ in October.

The ’30 Rock’ star and former ‘SNL’ cast member will be hosting the show for the second time in his career on Saturday October 17th, the third show of the upcoming 41st season. The NBC show confirmed the news via its official Twitter feed on Monday (August 17th), also stating that Miley Cyrus and the in-demand comedienne Amy Schumer would also be hosting the first two episodes.

Eddie Murphy is to return to the programme where it all started for him, as the comedian announced his return to ‘Saturday Night Live’ for its 40th anniversary special. It will be his first appearance on the comedy performance show in over three decades.

The 'Today' show confirmed via a phone interview on ‘News One Now’ that Murphy will take part in the three hour special alongside a host of former ‘SNL’ names past and present. The anniversary show will be broadcast on NBC on Sunday 15th February.
