Johansson's estranged husband has complained that his access to his daughter is being restricted by her work schedule.
Scarlett Johansson has taken a sly dig at her estranged husband ahead of their impending divorce and custody battle, saying that she takes her young daughter to work with her because it’s important that she sees her as an “independent woman”.
Appearing on British morning TV show ‘Lorraine’ on Thursday (March 23rd), the 32 year old star admitted that she regularly takes her two year old daughter, Rose Dorothy, onto movie sets with her, after her husband Romain Dauriac expressed frustration at having to organise his life, and access to his daughter, around Johansson’s work schedule.

“I am so proud to do and I love to do and to be able to show my daughter that and have her come to the workplace and show her I’m an independent woman making it happen is very important for me,” the Ghost In The Shell star told the host.
Following the news of their break-up in February – and apparently they had been effectively separated for six months before that – Dauriac’s lawyer said that he “is tired of having to run his life and his child's life based on Ms. Johansson's shooting schedule.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Johansson also discussed her recent participation in the Women’s March, saying that she did so primarily to highlight issues affecting women, rather than using it to protest against Donald Trump as president.
“It’s important to know the Women’s March was not against Trump it was basically a march for women to highlight that we are a very strong force to be reckoned with,” she explained.
“I think people in general can sometimes forget that their rights are not given, you have to fight for and continue to protect for the rights to your body and equal fair pay and they are important to highlight.”
She added: “The gender bias does exist. We need to stand together to highlight that imbalance. As a woman, as a feminist, as a mother it was important for me to be there.”
