Has Sean Bean actually ever survived to the end of a film?
Is there any actor who has died on screen more times than Sean Bean? Probably not. The ‘Game of Thrones’ star has met an untimely end in so many films that not even he can remember which ones he survived.
Sean Bean has died over and over again on screen.
“I have died quite a few times, to be fair,” Bean said in a new interview with Radio Times. “I’ve seen that reel of clips - it sounds a bit macabre, but I watched that back, and I’d forgotten some of the scenes I’d died in.”

Just as people began to write off veteran director Ridley Scott after a series of merely OK movies, the 77-year-old casually releases his most entertaining film in years. This sci-fi adventure is lithe, humorous, thrilling and genuinely moving. In other words, it's one of Scott's best films, mixing eye-catching visuals with a story that resonates with both emotion and deeper meaning. And it's also a lot of fun.
In the very near future, the first manned mission to Mars is caught off guard by a sudden storm. With their ship in danger, Commander Lewis (Jessica Chastain) orders the crew to evacuate, but in the chaos botanist Watney (Matt Damon) is knocked away and presumed dead. As Lewis and her team (Michael Pena, Kate Mara, Sebastian Stan and Aksel Hennie) begin the long trek back to Earth, Watney wakes up alone on Mars and understands that he will need to survive until the next mission arrives in four years' time. But his habitat is only designed to last for 30 days, so he has a lot of work to do. Eventually, he thinks of a way to get a message back home to Nasa, letting them know he's alive. Now the experts (including Jeff Daniels, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sean Bean and Kristen Wiig) must figure out a way to rescue him before he runs out of food and water.
The story plays out on three fronts: with Watney using his expertise to survive, Lewis and her crew on their long journey back home, and the Nasa officials mounting a rescue mission. All three plot-strands are riveting, using convincing science to explore the conundrum while cranking up the emotional urgency of the situation. Intriguingly, the script never gives Watney a family back on Earth to sentimentalise things; the film simply doesn't need that. And Damon more than holds the audience's sympathy. He's funny, smart, tenacious and thoroughly identifiable, the kind of person we wish we would be in the same situation.

The family flee to Alexandria in Egypt for seven years, before returning to Mary's hometown of Nazareth, Israel upon hearing that Herod is dead. Jesus is still unaware of the special circumstances surrounding his birth, unaware that his true father is the Lord in Heaven, and unaware that he possesses power beyond any other man in history. Sooner or later, Mary and Joseph have to open up about the miracle of Jesus' life, but before long they face yet more danger from Herod's equally tyrannical son who is also determined to have Jesus killed.

He is presumed dead, but he has miraculously survived, though injured, and now must do everything within his power to get a message to NASA, calculating that if they get it, he still has to survive for four years until they reach him. He has little left in the way of supplies and is living in a Hab which is meant for only a month's worth of use. On his to do list is to attempt to grow crops to survive on, and do everything he can to make water. Homer's 'Odyssey' will be adapted into a movie by the team behind 'The Hunger Games' trilogy. We asked a group of Classics students which actor would play Odysseus in their ideal film and selected the top six choices.

In 1982, Earth created a time capsule of popular culture from the era, and sent it into space in order to establish contact with extra-terrestrial life. Somehow, an ancient race of alien lifeforms that have never had any other contact with mankind did not understand the meaning of the 'message'. They especially take offence to the inclusion of 'Pac Man' and 'Donkey Kong', and assemble an army of pixelated, murderous 1980s video game characters and send them back to Earth to destroy the humans. With the world on the brink of destruction by a giant 'Pac Man', mankind has just one hope: a hodgepodge collection of retro gamers, using their old techniques to defeat the greatest video game boss of all time.

He's finally won his Best Actor Oscar, but we've seen it coming for years.
Eddie Redmayne caused no surprise when he landed the award for Best Actor at the 2015 Oscars, following his role as a young Stephen Hawking in his epic biopic 'The Theory Of Everything' which had already won him a BAFTA and a Golden Globe.
Eddie Redmayne wins Best Actor
It was a foreseeable win, and one that Hawking himself has admitted he's very proud of for Redmayne. We were, of course, already aware of his extraordinary talents before he was cast in the movie, following appearances in 'Les Miserables' and 'My Week With Marilyn', but even before then he was gluing people to screens with his early performances. These are four movies starring Eddie Redmayne that you probably haven't seen, but definitely should:

The Wachowski's release 'Jupiter Ascending' following a long delay, yet does it live up to their reputation.
The Wachowskis aren't the most prolific filmmakers, which is perhaps why their movies feel like events. When Warner Brothers shifted the release of their new sci-fi adventure 'Jupiter Ascending' back six months from last summer to this weekend, everyone smelled a stinker. But then this is Lana and Andy Wachowski, who have never made a truly awful movie. Although some might argue that point.
'Jupiter Ascending' stars Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis and Sean Bean
The siblings burst onto the scene in 1996 with 'Bound', an inventively moody thriller starring Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon as lovers who plot an elaborate heist. The film had great reviews, and has become a cult classic. Then three years later they released 'The Matrix', reinventing special effects with visually jaw-dropping gimmicks like bullet time. Although the plot itself wasn't terribly original, audiences flocked to see the film in record numbers, and also made hits of the less-beloved sequels 'The Matrix Reloaded' and 'The Matrix Revolutions', both released in 2003.
