Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are friends again.

The former Disney duo, who haven't been pictured together in public since the beginning of 2014, have seemingly buried their differences and rekindled their friendship after the 'Heart Attack' hitmaker posted a snap of her cuddling up to the actress on her Instagram page.

Alongside a snap of Selena placing her hands on Demi's shoulders and the pair of them pulling silly faces, the former TV star wrote: ''Look at how #coolforthesummer we are ... Friends for years, #sameoldlove (sic).''

Demi and Selena are both 23 and have been friends since they were were youngsters, but were last pictured together at the united4:good gala event in February 2014.

They later sparked rumours of a fractured friendship when the 'Really Don't Care' singer unfollowed the brunette beauty across all of her social networking platforms in August 2014.

When asked why she had dropped Selena, Demi said on 'Watch What Happens Live': ''I think it's just one of those things where people change and people grow apart.''

Despite their turbulent year, the pair began to rebuild their friendship last month when Selena wished the former 'Barney & Friends' star a happy birthday on August 20.

This isn't the first time the duo have experienced a rocky patch as they also went through a falling out back in 2010, when Demi was admitted to rehab for an eating disorder and self-harm, and didn't reunite until 2014.
