Selena Gomez has celebrated being named Billboard’s Woman of the Year with a sexy photo shoot which sees her posing in a black tuxedo jumpsuit by Mulger.

The singer and actress was announced as this year’s recipient last month and will be honoured at the annual Women in Music gala on November 30.

Speaking about Selena’s credentials, John Amato, president of The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group said: “Not only is Selena soaring on the charts, but she continuously inspires young women everywhere to be authentic, give back and to not be afraid to use their voice.

“She is never afraid to speak her mind and has used her platform to advocate for the needs of others. We are thrilled to be able to honour her as our Woman of the Year.”

Selena’s in pretty good company, with previous Woman Of The Year honourees including Madonna, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Beyonce.

The 25-year-old has certainly had an eventful 2017 both personally and professionally.

So far this year she’s released singles ‘It Ain’t Me’, ‘Bad Liar’, ‘Fetish’ and Wolves’, as well as executive-producing Netflix drama '13 Reasons Why' and becoming a brand ambassador for Coach and Puma.

After taking a few months away from the spotlight, in September Selena revealed she had undergone a kidney transplant over the summer due to complications from lupus. She made the announcement in an emotional Instagram post where she thanked best friend Francia Raisa for donating her kidney.

A month later Selena ended her year-long relationship with singer The Weeknd and appeared to rekindled her on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber.

But the high-profile couple are reportedly trying to keep things a little more under the radar this time.

Earlier this month a source told People the couple were ‘great and very happy,’ and added that ‘they agreed to stay more low-key’ this time around.
