Selena Gomez would never use Tinder.

The 23-year-old singer has admitted the dating app, which allows users to chat with their matches, ''scares'' her but she doesn't think she would need to use it anyway because doesn't find it ''difficult'' to meet handsome guys.

She said: ''I would never go on Tinder! I think it would scare me. I go on dates. It's not that difficult - I'm a nice young lady - but that's not my focus.

''I'm really stoked about being with myself right now.''

The brunette beauty - who called time on her relationship with her on/off boyfriend Justin Bieber last year following four years of dating - feels she's grown up a lot over the past couple of years and is now focusing on herself.

She told the new issue of Flare magazine: ''I've felt so much in the past two years, from being super in love and then dealing with things to getting older and all these beautiful experiences that were complicated and exciting.''

Meanwhile, the 'Heart Wants What It Wants' singer has admitted she would have loved to have trained as a chef.

She said: ''I would go to culinary school and learn how to be a chef. I was around food my whole life. I'm from the South. My mom's side did the casseroles, the chicken, the squash, and then my dad's side was full on, like hours of cooking tamales and rice and beans and homemade salsa, and I'd be like, ''Can we just buy the salsa?''
