Selena Gomez was certainly pretty in pink at Sunday evening's Teen Choice Awards at the Gibson Amphitheatre, which also happened to fall on her 20th birthday. Though the result of the fashion stakes is open for debate, nobody could deny Gomez the Surfboard Trophy for Best Music Group, for her band Selena Gomez and The Scene.
Her boyfriend Justin Bieber picked up a couple of surfboards himself, winning Best Male Artist, Best Male Music Star of the Summer, Best Male Fashion Icon and Best Single by a Male Artist. Gomez appeared to be the choice of Twitter users for Best Dressed, (for her fuchsia gown), though others favoured Carly Rae Jepsen's silky purple romper suit. The 'Call Me Maybe' singer also won Best Breakout Artist and Best Song of the Summer - no prizes for guessing which track. Kristen Stewart wore a mature blazer with leather trousers and picked up Best Female Movie Star of the Summer, while Taylor Swift picked up four awards including Best Single by a Female Artist, for 'Eyes Open'.
According to the New York Daily News, Gomez celebrated her birthday with a surprise dinner, organized by boyfriend Justin. The couple hit the exclusive Beverly Hills restaurant Il Cielo for a slap up meal, immediately after the Teen Choice Awards.
