Sergio Pizzorno Thinks You Can Feel A Songwriter's 'soul' In A Song

Kasabian Serge Pizzorno

Kasabian's Sergio Pizzorno thinks you can feel a songwriter's ''soul'' in a song.

The 36-year-old artist became the 'Fire' hitmaker's songwriter following the departure of former band member Christopher Karloff, and though he has hinted the creative process is difficult, he believes the lyrics to a track says a lot about the writer.

Speaking to the Metro newspaper, he said: ''It's the 'writing team' thing. I understand it, It's like American TV shows, the reason why they're so great is because 15 people in a room write it.

The Kasabian guitarist has admitted he wouldn't be a musician if it wasn't for the former Oasis frontman, as he says he is ''fascinated'' by the 'Live Forever' hitmaker.

He said: ''[Liam] saved my life. This path that I've walked - if I'd not have seen him get up on stage and do his thing, I wouldn't have walked it. I'm always going to be fascinated by what he does because he has a place in my heart.

Leicester City fans Kasabian have announced plans for a huge, one-off gig at the club’s stadium next month, in celebration of the team’s extraordinary season.

The Midlands football club, known as the Foxes, stand on the brink of one of the most astonishing and unlikely achievements in sporting history, as the 5,000-1 rank outsiders are just one victory away from winning the English Premier League.

However, win or lose – and it seems increasingly likely that it will be a win – the indie rock group, who hail from the city, will perform in front of 30,000 fans at the club’s King Power Stadium on May 28th. Tickets go on sale this Saturday (April 30th).

Clean Bandit Dismiss Kasabian Insults As "Jealousy"

Clean Bandit Kasabian Serge Pizzorno Brit Awards

British chart stars Clean Bandit have responded to comments made by rockers Kasabian in which they cast aspersions on their songwriting credibility.

Serge Pizzorno, guitarist and chief songwriter of the Leicester quartet, told The Independent last week that he was displeased at the group’s total lack of recognition at the upcoming Brit Awards. Despite scoring a fourth UK Number 1 album last year with 48:13, Kasabian received no nominations at all, which Pizzorno described as a “conspiracy” to “shut rock ‘n’ roll out.”

So About That Kasabian 'All Londoners Are...' Backdrop...

Kasabian Serge Pizzorno

London based fans of Kasabian might have been left a little shocked (and offended) after a profane backdrop exclaiming “London is full of c**ts”, was projected on-stage during a recent gig in Glasgow. But rather than being an expression of the group's true feeling, Kasabian have now claimed the backdrop was simply a ‘production error’ and not anything to do with the band themselves.

Speaking to the NME, guitarist Serge Pizzorno said, “We were all shocked and certainly didn’t mean to offend anyone.” “The production team fucked up.” he continued. “There were supposed to be photos of mundane objects in that section but instead I turned around in the middle of [the song] 'Clouds' and couldn’t believe my eyes.”
