Pregnant pop superstar Shakira is partnering with bosses at U.S. toy retailer Fisher-Price to launch a new line of toys and an accompanying web series.

The First Steps collection, which will feature toys and baby gear, is slated to hit stores in November (14) and will benefit the Hips Don't Lie hitmaker's Barefoot Foundation, which provides education and nutrition to children in impoverished areas of her native Colombia.

A statement from Shakira reads, "I saw how important developmental milestones are and how toys can help babies reach them - including with my own son.

"I wanted to design a line of toys that stimulated development in the crucial early stages of life, the stages in which learning can be achieved through supervised play, fostering the development of psychological, social and motor skills."

The singer's 12-part web series will debut on Monday (27Oct14) and some episodes will feature her son, Milan, with soccer player Gerard Pique. The couple is due to welcome a brother for little Milan in the coming months.
