Shannen Doherty will have acted out some intense scenes in her prolific career, but when a twitter user threatened to commit suicide should she not get in contact with her, she had to act fast.

Phoning 911, Doherty stated; "This is going to sound incredibly strange," before introducing herself and the situation. "My name is Shannen Doherty and I'm an actress," she explained. "I'm on Twitter, sadly, and there is a girl that is threatening to shoot herself." The 41-year old added, "I'm completely untrained to deal with somebody threatening to commit suicide." Apparently, this wasn't the first time the woman had tweeted the Beverly Hills 90210 actress. "My security guys actually told me to block her, because she's super-aggressive and does very erratic things," Doherty said. "I'm now sitting here, like, you know freaking out and held hostage and I can't even do anything." At this point, the police needed to know the address of the girl who could potentially commit suicide. Doherty extrapolated that info from Twitter and relayed it to the cops, before asking them if they could let her know what happened.

The police dispatcher struggled to hide the fact that he was star-struck, saying, "All my co-workers can't believe who I'm on the phone with," he said, adding, "They all want your Twitter account." Thankfully, police were able to inform her of the woman's wellbeing, and Doherty tweeted her gratitude.
