Shia LaBeouf was arrested in a Broadway performance on Thursday (26.06.14) after he allegedly began shouting erratically and slapping people's bottoms.
Shia LaBeouf has been arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.
The 28-year-old actor was escorted out of a Broadway performance of 'Cabaret' in handcuffs on Thursday (26.06.14) after he allegedly began shouting erratically and slapping people's bottoms.
A NYPD spokesperson told Us Weekly magazine: ''[Shia] has been charged with disorderly conduct. He was also charged with criminal trespass. While at Studio 54 he was upsetting patrons, being loud and yelling. He'll be jailed. There will be a court appearance for this matter.''
An eye-witness added to the publication: ''Shia seemed out of sorts. He was interacting with strangers during the show and slapping peoples' backsides. He was trying to avoid the police and fell. Then he was cursing at the police while being taken into custody.''
The troubled star - who has sparked fears for his mental health in recent months - reportedly had tears in his eyes as he was led out of the musical, which stars Michelle Williams and Alan Cumming, during the interval.
Another source claimed the 'Transformers' star was ''harassing audience members, harassing actors on the stage, and chain smoking inside the theatre.''
The troubled star has had a bizarre few months in the lead up to his arrest after he stormed out of a 'Nymphomaniac' press conference in Berlin before arriving on the red carpet for the film's German premiere wearing a paper bag on his head that read, ''I am not famous anymore.''
He was also forced to apologise for alleged plagiarism and starred in his own silent art installation in Los Angeles.
