Shia LaBeouf was sent a copy of 'Cabaret' from Liza Minnelli's publicist following his arrest last week.

Scott Gorenstein, a spokesperson for the actress, posted a DVD of the musical to the 28-year-old star on Sunday (29.06.14) after he was escorted from Studio 54 theatre in New York in handcuffs for yelling at officers and slapping people's bottoms during the live show on Thursday.

Mr Gorenstein told ABC News: ''I figured he may want to find out how it [the show] ends.''

Police were called to the production at 8:45 pm (EDT) after Shia refused to listen to security guards when they asked him to leave, before he allegedly proceeded to swear at them and physically interfere with them.

The troubled actor was later charged with harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing in relation to the incident, and is set to appear in court on July 24.

Meanwhile, Shia - who has sparked fears for his mental health recently - has had a bizarre few months in the lead up to his arrest as he was allegedly banned from a restaurant in Los Angeles earlier this month for peeing up against a wall outside.

Earlier this year, he stormed out of a 'Nymphomaniac' press conference in Berlin before arriving on the red carpet for the film's German premiere wearing a paper bag on his head that read, ''I am not famous any more.''

He was also forced to apologise for alleged plagiarism and starred in his own silent art installation in Los Angeles.
