Starting off with a melancholy piano before roaring guitars send it skyward, the latest offering from Iceland's finest fails to disappoint.

Vocalist Jonsi Birgisson's keening falsetto intertwines with the intricate arrangements to create one of the most uplifting single you'll hear this decade, but big doomy piano chords hint at something darker beneath the surface. Not many bands can evoke such complex emotions in people who do can not even comprehend the lyrics, but for Sigur Ros, this is just another day
at the office.
