As the nights get slightly lighter and the temperature gets half a degree warmer people are daring to dream about summer and the festival season is getting closer.

Blissfields has released an exciting first wave line-up

The latest festival announcement is Hampshire festival Blissfields which has announced its first wave of acts including Simian Mobile Disco, The Horrors and John Grant among others.

Covering the weekend from 2 - 4 July, Blissfields 2015 in Woodmancott the festival has also announced Glass Animals, Grandmaster Flash, Novelist and Mele.

Having developed from a 70-strong attendance in 2001, Blissfields has now reached sell-outcrowds to its perfectly formed 5,000 capacity.

Blissfields music runs until 4am every day and is expertly crafted to take its audiences from clear afternoons of discovery and frivolity, through lofty main stage sets into the heady wee small hours of the Blisscotheque and Hidden Hedge.

Simian Mobile Disco will bring a late night live slot on the main stage and John Grant’s raw, emotional and frank take on music to Blissfields for the first time.

Blissfields has a long history of welcoming emerging talent, from Bastille in 2012, Sam Smith in 2013 and Years & Years in 2014, attention will once again be on the festival to highlight the best in new music.

Some of the names already twitching behind the curtain of the mainstream are Palace, Flo Morrissey, Gengahr, Loyle Carner and Songhoy Blues.
