Simon Cowell is ''determined'' to clone his dogs.

The 55-year-old music mogul is so scared of losing his beloved Yorkshire Terriers Squiddly and Diddly, he's reportedly looking into the possibility of having them cloned.

A source said: ''Money is not an issue. Simon is determined to make it happen.

''Clearly, Simon wants to make sure that any cloning procedure is above board and safe for the dog. That's very much his priority.''

To this end, Simon has called on his aides to approach South Korean cloning company Sooam Biotech.

The source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''He has briefed aides and they are looking to see whether Sooam is a viable option.

''Sooam seems to be the only plausible company at the moment and Simon is expecting a report back soon from his aides confirming whether it's a goer.''

Meanwhile, Simon's 'X Factor' co-star Cheryl Fernandez-Versini recently praised his strength following his beloved mother's death.

She said: ''I don't know how he is coping. I've always admired his strength and tenacity but now I have a whole new level of respect for him. He has that British stiff upper lip.''
