Slash and Duff Mckagan's supergroup Velvet Revolver have resumed their long-running search for a new singer, more than two years after frontman Scott Weiland was fired from the job.
The rockers have been without a lead vocalist since parting ways with Weiland in April 2008 and previous auditions fell flat after the Velvet Revolver founders failed to find a suitable replacement.
Slash, MCKagan and drummer Matt Sorum have since been busy working on other projects, but they have now stepped up their hunt in the run up to the holidays.
Taking to his Twitter.com page on Monday (06Dec10), Slash writes, "Fyi (for your information), VR is auditioning singers this week. Promises to be very interesting."
Velvet Revolver previously toured with singer Myles Kennedy, but the rocker has been ruled out of the running due to his commitment to his band Alter Bridge.
