Fact: Past and present members of GUNS N' ROSES, Slayer, Lamb of God, Anthrax and Judas Priest have joined forces in the studio to record an album of original material under the supergroup name METAL ALLEGIENCE. The stars previously performed covers at events and on rock cruises like Motorhead's Motorboat, but now they have teamed up for the Nuclear Blast Entertainment collection, which features songs written by former Dream Theater star Mike Portnoy, Megadeth's David Ellefson and Testament's Alex Skolnick. The album is due for release in September (15).

Fact: Heavy rock supergroups Anthrax and Slayer are hitting to road together again for a European tour later this year (15). The two acts last hit the road together in 2010 as part of The Big Four Tour with Metallica and Megadeth.

Fact: Heavy rockers Slayer have handed a Los Angeles fan tickets to their upcoming show in the city after learning he was planning to sell his car to buy them. The superfan, named Jake, even posted a spoof of Matthew MCConaughey's Lincoln car commercial in a bid to sell his motor.

Fact: More than 81,000 rock fans attended the first BIG FOUR concert in Warsaw, Poland on Wednesday night (16Jun10), making it one of the biggest music events ever staged in the city. Metallica, Slayer, MEGADETH and Anthrax played together on the same stage for the first time ever when they co-headlined the Sonisphere festival at Bemowo Airport.
