Jay Z's former business partner Damon Dash has also signed on to feature on the as-yet-untitled series, which will document how the stars balance their professional and personal lives in the world of hip-hop.

The eight-episode programme is scheduled to begin shooting in Los Angeles in November (15), ahead of broadcast on America's BET network next year (16).

Snoop Dogg is no stranger to reality TV - he previously starred with his family on Snoop Dogg's Father Hood in 2007, while he also appeared on Snoop & Son: A Dad's Dream with his boy Cordell Broadus earlier this year (15). He is also currently developing an online reality series following his youth sports organisation for Internet platform AOL.
