The Spice Girls have signed up to perform alongside The Who at the London Olympics closing ceremony, according to new reports.
Sources tell MailOnline.com that bandmates had to secure a reluctant Victoria Beckham's involvement before agreeing to a much-anticipated reunion, which has been discussed since the beginning of 2012.
The girl group hasn't performed together for four years.
Reports suggest they'll take to the stage during the finale spectacular to sing their break-out hit Wannabe.
Take That and George Michael will also be part of the show.
Beckham gave fans hope of an Olympics get together when she reteamed with her bandmates for the launch of the group's upcoming musical, Viva Forever, in London last month (Jun12), and on Thursday (19Jul12), she told an Irish radio host, "I'm so respectful of my past and I love the other girls. We have some fantastic fans. Who knows, maybe some day we'll do something else with the Spice Girls. I would love nothing more."
She added, "I don't know about a comeback tour but I loved being back with the girls. There was a lot of fun, we did so much together and we'll see. If they're up for something then I certainly am... We are so proud to be English and we are very excited about the Olympics."
