It's looking less and less likely that Victoria Beckham is going to change her mind about this Spice Girls 20th anniversary reunion thing, and now it's just come out that the band was never where she felt at home anyway. It makes sense, given how she became such a success in the fashion industry instead.

Spice GirlsVictoria Beckham wasn't comfortable in the Spice Girls

The former manager for the Spice Girls, Simon Fuller, who signed the band in 1995, revealed at the Business Innovation Awards in Los Angeles recently that the popstar turned fashion icon was never passionate about music, and even confessed that he was the one who encouraged her to embark on a career as a designer.

'She never felt comfortable', he said. 'She could sing pretty well, she could dance pretty well, but she always felt uncomfortable.' She allegedly turned to Fuller, who was sacked by the band in 1997, for career advice after the band split up.

'It was one of those things that you get this kind of clarity of vision. I've known Victoria since she was 18 and her passion in life was always clothes', he explained. 'She was called Posh Spice because she always wore the best dresses and she knew everything about clothes.'

Despite the fact that Fuller severed ties with the Spice Girls in 1997, he stayed good friends with Victoria and even went on to manage her footballer husband David Beckham. Fuller was the creator of the Idol franchise which started with 'Pop Idol' in 2001, so it was a smart move for Victoria to take his advice on entering into the fashion world.

Since then, she launched her own label in 2008 and is a high profile name at all the major fashion events of the world. However, it looks like her determination to stay away from music may mean that we won't get to see a Spice Girls reunion after all. After Mel B called her 'a little bit of a b***h', she's even less likely to want to join forces with the other girls and Mel C has previously stated that she doesn't want a reunion without Posh Spice.
