After reuniting in 2012 for London’s Olympic Games, the Spice Girls were set to come together again in 2016 for a tour to mark their 20th anniversary. But while Victoria Beckham was always going to sit the tour out, talks are now said to be in ‘crisis’, with Mel C refusing to perform as a foursome.

According to The Sun newspaper, Mel C, aka Sporty Spice, will only sign on the dotted line "if all the cogs are in place"."This means good management, good tour promoters and good sponsorship to maximise revenue,” a source said.

“To fulfil this Mel believes the band has to be the original five-piece and Victoria needs to be involved.” But that’s not the only problem, the group are also said to be "bickering" over who will manage next year's shows.

What’s also to be decided is the venues, with Mel C previously telling The Mirror, that if the reunion ever does happen London's Hyde Park would be the perfect venue. “We've talked about it, but we just haven't got our act together. We’re a bit useless,” Mel C said last month. "But performing at Hyde Park would be amazing."

Mel B also spoke to Billboard about the reunion last month, saying that right now the girls were just 'figuring it all out'. "Once we sort everything out we make an announcement, but right now we're just figuring it all out,” she said. “Next year is your 20 anniversary so we're really just trying to make sure something happens.”

“But we had so much fun and we did the Olympics a few years ago. We're going to have fun if everything works out -- which hopefully it will -- for next year. As soon as we figure it out we'll tell every detail, but until then there's not much to say.”
