Stacy Keibler has moved on from George Clooney, but there's more to her than a famous ex.
George Clooney’s ex Stacy Keibler has just got married and we can’t help but feel a little surprised. Stacy and her new husband Jared Pobre have only been together for 7 months but at the weekend they announced they were now husband and wife after a wedding ceremony in Mexico. Since Stacy has well and truly moved on from her famous ex, it might be time that we did too and get to know the ex WWE Diva a little better aside from her famous relationship.
Newly married Stacy Keibler
Long before she found herself on George Clooney’s arm, Stacy was a cheerleader for the Baltimore Raven’s football team, but soon the 5 foot 11 blonde would find herself on a different career path altogether. After being introduced to professional wrestling by her then boyfriend, Stacy entered a contest in 1999 to find the newest ‘Nitro Girl’ for World Championship Wrestling, (WCW). The Nitro Girls were a dance troupe who entertained the crowd inbetween matches and sometimes took on an even larger role in the wrestling story lines. Stacy won the compeition and was given the name ‘Skye’ making her Nitro Girl debut in November 2009.
At the same time the budding dancer was also juggling college and appearances with the Baltimore Raven’s cheerleading team. Stacy’s Nitro Girl tenure didn't last long and soon she broke away from the group to become a performer in her own right. Ditching the ‘Skye’ moniker she was then given the much more suggestive name of ‘Ms Hancock’. who became best remembered for working with David Flair, the son of legendary wrestler Ric Flair, whom she would also briefly date. Her time as Miss Hancock would be marked by a few questionable story lines and even more question wrestling matches before she reverted to her real name, Stacy Keibler.
After WCW folded in 2011 and was bought by the WWE, Stacy became a WWE Diva, managing wrestlers such as The Dudley Boyz and wrestling against the other Divas. She also dated wrestler Andrew ‘Test’ Martin, whom she would also manage onscreen. As her popularity as a Diva grew Stacy found herself appearing in fitness magazines including having her own column in Stuff magazine and making Maxim magazine's Hot 100 list for the first time in 2006. As her mainstream recognition grew Stacy appeared as a contestant on the second season of ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ finishing in third place. Her success on the show led to her departure with WWE in late 2006.

Stacy’s post WWE career has including modelling, presenting and TV guest appearances but its been one high profile boyfriend that has kept her in the public eye. Stacy began dating George Clooney in July 2011 and soon the ex WWE Diva and and the notorious bachelor became a red carpet fixture together even taking a trip to the 2012 Oscars when the statuesque Stacy wowed in gold dress. Though the relationship seemed strong things fizzled out in July of last year apparently due to, surprise surprise, George’s unwillingness to settle down.

Now just 7 months on Stacy has walked down the aisle with millionaire Jared Pobre in a secret ceremony in Mexico. Though the nuptials may seem quick, the couple had actually known each other for five years before things became romantic. Since revealing the surprise marriage Stacy has told People magazine ‘'My happiness is indescribable!’. Clooney’s ex then went on to describe Pobre as her soulmate calling him, 'someone who has all of your best interests at heart; someone handpicked for you, to help you grow and be the best person that you can be. Jared is all of this for me.’ The new Mr Keibler is very different from Hollywood superstar George. He's a bit of a tech entrepreneur and is curretnly the CEO of Future Ads, a digital media platform for "results-focused" online advertising.
For some Stacy’s wedding might seem a little quick and the word ‘rebound’ might be thrown around, but this former WWE Diva seems happy with her new husband. After all the pair have known each other for five years and sometimes the happiest relationships are those that blossom out of a friendship. At 34 it's no surprise that Stacy is looking to settle down and perhaps start a family, something that was never really going to happen with bachelor George. All we can say is congratulations to Stacy and maybe soon we’ll be able to say her name without having to add ‘George Clooney’s ex’ to the sentence.
