Comic book guru Stan Lee was honoured with a lifetime achievement prize at the inaugural Geekie Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (18Aug13).
The Spider-Man co-creator was feted during the ceremony, held to acknowledge the most talented 'geekie' independent creators, artists and filmmakers, and he received his prize from actor Seth Green.
Lee joked to the crowd, "I'm very thrilled to get this, whatever the hell it is... The next time I get my next award I would like to know what it's for and what the hell a geek is."
Green subsequently wrote in a post on his Twitter.com page, "Honoured to present a Lifetime Achievement Award tonite (sic) from the Geekies to my genuine hero, (Stan Lee). True life hero."
