The first season told the story of a small-town in the Arctic circle rocked by a violent murder. Tucci played Detective Chief Inspector Morton from London's Metropolitan Police, who flies flown to the peaceful close-knit community to investigate.

From the first episode, audiences responded to the incredibly rich world Simon Donald created, where nature and civilization collide with catastrophic results," said Kent Rees, general manager of Pivot. "We're excited to announce that 'Fortitude' will be back for another season of suspense and chaos."
