Star Trek icon William Shatner rolled into Comic-Con in a wheelchair on Thursday (24Jul14) after injuring his leg in a horseriding accident.
The 83 year old had to be pushed onstage to appear alongside fellow acting veteran Betty White and Scrubs star Donald Faison for the Legends of TV Land panel at the San Diego, California convention, but he assured fans that he would bounce back from the incident, which took place the previous weekend (19-20Jul14).
He told the crowd, "I was riding a horse and had an accident. The horse got off scot-free. I did not. I wrecked my leg."
However, Shatner refused to let the painful injury derail his plans to attend the annual Comic-Con bash, adding, "I was not going to (miss Comic-Con). In a couple of days I'll be fine, but right now I'm in a lot of pain."
