Stephanie Davis has given the world its first glimpse of her new baby son, and has revealed his rather unusual name she’s decided upon – Caben-Albi George.

Mother and baby graced the cover of this week’s OK! magazine, the tiny two-week-old infant nuzzling up to his actress and reality TV star mum. Caben-Albi’s paternity has come under scrutiny since he was born, with her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell previously presumed to be the father but with former ‘Love Island’ contestant Josh Ritchie coming into the frame.

However, aside from looking at the baby’s face to guess who he looks more like, many others have been wondering about the origin of his name.

“It actually came to me a few months ago when I was in Tenerife with my mum. It’s not actually a name I’d heard before but it popped into my mind and stuck there,” said 23 year old Davis in the interview.

“I wanted to give him an unusual name but I also wanted him to be called Albi after my granddad so I decided to combine the two. Caben-Albi is his name bit I’ve mainly been calling him Caben. I felt dead nervous going to register his name with my mum and a few friends though!”

She had previously said that she was intent on naming her unborn son after her late grandfather, but in August, after a brief trip to Jersey on a girls’ holiday, she was chatted up by a stranger in a bar with a “movie star name”.

“I've picked my boy's name! It's not Albi but that will definitely be a middle name,” she wrote for OK!’s blog at around that time. “I'm going to keep it a secret for now but I will say it's something different – I've not heard it before! It's like a movie star name. We got it when I was getting chatted up with my friends recently and he said his name when he left – we just all looked at each other and knew, so thanks to him!”

Meanwhile, back on the subject of her son’s father, she’s fully certain that Irish model McConnell, with whom she had a tempestuous on/off romance early in 2016, is Caben-Albi’s dad. “My son is 100% Jeremy’s baby – and a paternity test will prove it.”
