Movie hardman Steven Seagal has signed up to help lead a simulated police training exercise in Arizona on Saturday (09Feb13).
Maricopa County sheriff Joe Arpaio has enlisted the actor to guide a group of his armed volunteers on how to respond to a school shooting, according to the Associated Press.
The training event in Phoenix will involve six instructors leading 40 armed volunteers through a simulated shooting, with teenagers acting as students.
Seagal will lead the training run, focusing on various aspects of shooting scene management, including "entry room tactics and hand-to-hand tactics".
This will not be Seagal's first foray into law enforcement - in 2011, he was sworn in as a sheriff's deputy in Hudspeth County in Texas and he has also appeared in a reality show detailing his work as a reserve deputy in New Orleans.
