While most in New York are trapped indoors thanks to Storm Jonas which has hit America’s East Coast, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and his artist daughter Mia decided to risk the harsh conditions and go for a walk in the snow on Saturday.

During their cute father-daughter outing, the pair ran into CNN correspondent Poppy Harlow, who was reporting on the blizzard from the snowy streets of the Big Apple. After going over to say ‘hi’ to Harlow, the pair ending up being an unlikely addition to CNN’s storm coverage, as they shared advice for fellow New Yorkers.

When asked about his plans Tyler said he was ‘not flying out anytime soon,’ thanks to the blizzard, adding: “I’m from New York City and I’m down here to see my daughters and my grandson Milo.” Tyler then gave a special shoutout to his 11-year-old grandson saying: “Hi Milo, how you doing Milo.”

“The weather’s terrible,” Tyler continued. “Im gonna honker down, I’ve got a funny feeling the storm’s gonna keep us here a couple extra days.” The frontman also added that on Monday he’d be appearing on ‘The Howard Stern Show’, whatever the weather.

While nobody enjoys the inconvenience a blizzard brings, Mia was able to see the fun side, especially has she has he dad on hand to enjoy the snow with. “I love it i love playing in the snow so I’m kind of happy about this. We grew up playing in the snow,” Mia said.

Tyler then gave some important advice to anyone who was thinking of driving in the dangerous conditions, “Do not do it,” the frontman said. “It’s supposed to go until 12, one o'clock (in the morning), so there’ll be another foot of snow. Stay home,” he added. “Two words, hot chocolate.”
