Sting and Trudie Styler are still happily married because they ''actually like each other''.

The couple have been married for over 30 years, tying the knot back in August 1992, and they insist there's no secret to their long lasting love other than the fact they enjoy each other's company.

Speaking at the Cannes Lions Festival in the South of France, on Tuesday (23.06.15), Sting, 63, said: ''There's no secret, we're just lucky. We like each other actually. I don't know how we stay so connected, we just are.''

Filmmaker Trudie, 61, believes the time she and her musician husband spend apart for work has strengthened their relationship over the years.

She told website MailOnline: ''We still see a lot of one another. It's something we're so used to with having time apart and now a lot of time together and it works like that.''

The couple have four grown-up children together, Bridget, Jake, Coco and Giacomo, and Sting considers his kids' success in the world to be his and Trudie's greatest achievement together.

He said: ''The thing I am most proud of Trudie for is giving us our kids and our grandchildren - we have four so we are totally blessed. Seeing our kids as grown up and taking their places in the world is just fantastic. They are little ankle-biters and it is so special.

Trudie added: ''We are properly made up as they say in the north.''

Sting and Trudie were guests of honour on the MailOnline yacht in Cannes and were speaking after the 'I'll Be Missing You' singer performed in front of a host of stars including Will.i.am, Jamie Redknapp and his wife Louise Redknapp, Piers Morgan and former England cricketer Freddie Flintoff.
