Perkins had finished her voice-overs for 'The Great British Bake Off's Christmas special, which will be its last ever episode on the BBC.
It truly is the end of an era for ‘The Great British Bake Off’, as presenter Sue Perkins revealed that she’s finished recording her last ever voice-over for the show.
The sixth and final series of ‘Bake Off’ to be broadcast on the BBC finished back on October 7th, but the old gang is getting back together for one final show, a Christmas special to be aired on December 25th (4:45pm) before the show moves to Channel 4 in 2017.

Perkins and her co-host, Mel Giedroyc, will not be making the transfer to the new show when it begins – and neither will head judge Mary Berry – meaning that the recording of the festive one-off represented their last stand. Taking to social media after she had finished, she admitted that it had been an emotional moment.
“Not ashamed to admit I just shed a tear at my final ever Bake Off voiceover,” she tweeted to her fans on Wednesday morning (December 14th). “Farewell my tenty chum.”
Paul Hollywood will be the only member of the team to remain with the show next year, with rumours that the BBC might have a rival baking programme in the offing involving Berry, Perkins and Giedroyc.

“We made no secret of our desire for the show to remain where it was,” Sue and Mel said at the time that ‘Bake Off’s producers Love Productions announced it had concluded a £75 million deal to move the programme to Channel 4 for three years.
“The BBC nurtured the show from its infancy and helped give it its distinctive warmth and charm, growing it from an audience of two million to nearly 15m at its peak. We’ve had the most amazing time on ‘Bake Off’, and have loved seeing it rise and rise like a pair of yeasted Latvian baps. We’re not going with the dough. We wish all the future bakers every success.”
