The imprisoned former hip-hop mogul Suge Knight has sensationally alleged that Dr. Dre of hiring a hitman to execute him on two separate occasions.

In court papers obtained by TMZ on Monday (October 24th), Marion “Suge” Knight accuses the Apple Music and Beats entrepreneur – formerly his business partner in the once-thriving rap label Death Row Records – tried to have him murdered in September 2014, and then again a few months later.

Demanding $300 million on the basis that he has a share in the $1 billion proceeds Dre received when he sold Beats to Apple, Knight says he has a lifetime contract with the former N.W.A. man that they agreed when Dre walked away from Death Row Records in 1996, entitling Knight to 30% of Dre’s lifetime earnings. However, he alleges that Dre didn’t want to pay him because Knight was (and still is) facing murder charges in the death of Terry Carter.

Knight claims that the first time Dre tried to have him killed was in September 2014, when a hired gunman named ‘T-Money’ opened fire at him at a MTV VMA party hosted by Chris Brown at 1OAK in Los Angeles. He was shot several times in torso and arm, but no arrests have been made in that case.

He alleges that the second attempted assassination attempt came a few months later, in January 2015, when Cle ‘Bone’ Sloan is said to have targeted him at a parking lot at a fast food restaurant in L.A. This incident led to the death of the aforementioned Carter, when Knight got into his car and drove over both Carter and Sloan, which also left Sloan seriously injured.

Knight claims he acted in self-defense when Sloan, a former gang member and now a filmmaker, pulled a gun on him, and that Dre paid him $300,000 to kill him. Sloan denies threatening Knight, but reportedly admitted to attacking him as he lay in a hospital bed suffering from head wounds.

Referring to Dre’s real name, the lawsuit says: “Andre Young is responsible for both crimes… It is a well-known fact that Young and Knight are not friends.”

Knight’s complaint is a response to a wrongful death lawsuit filed against Knight, Dre, Ice Cube and Universal Music brought by Lilian Carter, the widow of Terry Carter.

“Given that Dre has had zero interaction with Suge since leaving Death Row Records in 1996, we hope that Suge's lawyer has lots of malicious prosecution insurance,” Dre’s lawyer Howard King told Rolling Stone in response to the suit.
