Knight fled the scene when he ran over and killed the man

According to TMZ, Knight got into a fight with two members on the set of a film project in the Southern California city, and after he ran over the victim, the hip-hop star fled the scene.

The gossip site also reports that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has issued a bulletin to police officers that informs them to "be on the lookout" for Knight, he is wanted for questioning for a 187, which means murder.

The trouble allegedly began when Knight first arrived on the set of the movie, which Ice-Cube and Dr. Dre were involved with. He then got into a physical altercation with two men, who were the instigators, eye witnesses have said.

Knight's lawyer has confirmed to Fox 11 that he was at driving the vehicle at the time of the incident, and they are now working with the sheriff's official to organise his surrender.

The man that died has been identified as Terry Carter, who is apparently a friend of Knight's and arrived on the scene with him. Carter was allegedly walking towards the passenger door of Knight's vehicle but he was at the rear when Knight put it into reverse.

TMZ also claims the other injured man has been named as actor Cle "Bone" Sloane, who has appeared in 'Training Day' and 'End Of Watch.' His injuries were not life threatening.
