It's great to see festivals in Croatia becoming increasingly popular, and rightly so too, it's such a beautiful place, perfect for a holiday experience. With so much choice it's great to see SUNceBEAT 7 on the line up, that absolutely stands out as an amazing festival this year! This year's event takes place from 20th to 27th July and for anyone with a love of house music, hip hop, jazz fusion and/or soul should partake in this year's event! With a legendary line up in the stunning location of Tisno, it's looking like a certain winner this summer.

Suncebeat was created seven years ago from the creators of Southport Weekender. Croatia seemed like the perfect place for the Southport Weekender family to relocate. The truth is it was rare to get a full weekend of sunshine at SPW, everyone wished for it, but the timing of the event in the UK, rarely delivered on that hope, however it's a very different story at Suncebeat!

I went to the first Suncebeat and it certainly delivered. Heavenly sunshine, warm lovely people, great music and I'll never forget the boat parties! Seven years later, Suncebeat is growing from strength to strength; the move to Tisno has only improved the festival.

Suncebeat 7 looks awesome! Again with a plethora of amazing DJ's on offer such as: Louie Vega, Derrick Carter, Black Coffee, Grant Nelson, Joey Negro, Osunlade, Henrik Schwarz, Prosumer, Terry Hunter, Sadar Bahar, Djeff Afrozilla, Atjazz and Ronnie Herel, just to mention a few! The line-up is always first class and having seen many of these DJ's before, it's pretty clear this is going to be a classic! Some standout moments such as DJ Jazzy Jeff on the main stage on Saturday and 20 years of Atjazz on Sunday afternoon looks pretty tasty to me!

I don't know where to begin with the boat parties, the 'Swindle' party featuring Detroit Swindle, Henrik Schwarz, Osunlade and Sean Mccabe looks heavy! Also the 'Disco Nights Picnic' featuring the legendary Derrick Carter, Horse Meat Disco, Mark Stone and James Morgan looks epic! 'Chicago's Chosen Few' and 'Dance Ritual' boat party also looks amazing, there's so many to choose from! Although I definitely wouldn't want to miss the 'Secret Island' boat party on Sunday afternoon, where two boats are exclusively going to a paradise island taking 500 people to dance all day! Wow!

It's no surprise Croatia is becoming the place to visit for music festivals. Not only are ticket prices reasonable, you also get the joys of being on holiday, as well as the intimate vibe of experiencing a smaller festival. At an event like Suncebeat, you really get to make friends and there's loads of nice places to eat, stunning forests to visit and of course the joys of the beautiful Adriatic Sea!

For any lover of house music, soul, jazz fusion and for those who love to dance, Suncebeat 7 seems like a no brainer destination this summer. The line-up, the boat parties and visiting Croatia again all make for a very exciting prospect, not to forget meeting loads of wonderful people that really creates the magic!  Realising the sad end of Southport Weekender, it is fortunate this Adriatic gem is still shining and 'lucky number 7' could be the best Suncebeat so far!
