A spokesperson for U.S. reality series Survivor has confirmed no cast or crew members were harmed in a tsunami that hit the South Pacific on Tuesday (29Sep09).
At least 90 people in Samoa were killed by the tidal wave, which was triggered by a powerful 8.3-magnitude earthquake.
But production of Survivor: Samoa had not officially kicked off for the upcoming 20th season, which will be filmed in the country.
According to a representative for U.S. TV network CBS, a number of crew members were in the region but have been accounted for.
The 19th season, hosted by Jeff Probst, was also filmed in Samoa.
