Sylvester didn't hold back when talking to Jonathan Ross
Sylvester Stallone is in a nostalgic mood, thinking back to his younger days and, it would appear, lamenting them. He also hinted at a reprising his role as Rocky in the upcoming film, ‘Creed’. The legendary actor bore all when speaking to host Jonathan Ross during an on-stage interview at the London Palladium on Saturday.
Still going - Sylvester Stallone
"I abused power badly. I read some of the interviews I gave now and wish I could go back and punch myself in the face," he continued. Stallone, who stars alongside Robert di Niro in the comedy boxing film, Grudge Match, also spoke of a new project in which he’ll play Rocky once more, but confirmed that it’s not a sequel in any way shape or form.
"I'm supposed to be doing a film with Ryan Coogler, who did 'Fruitvale Station', called 'Creed',” he explained. "It's very interesting because people think it would be 'Rocky VII' ... it's not, I have a supporting role. It will be great to take that character, who's actually not well, and pass on his knowledge while he still has time. I think it could be a great movie and a great challenge. It is going to happen." Of course, when a star of Stallone’s stature is talking candidly, conversation soon turns to a more gossipy cadence. He admitted that he and Arnold Schwarzenegger "hated each other" during the height of their action careers but wasn’t drawn in to talking about Bruce Willis, whom he called "greedy and lazy" last year in a Twitter rant.
