Taio Cruz (born April 23rd 1985) Taio Cruz is a singer, producer and rapper from London whose best known songs are 'Break Your Heart' and 'Dynamite'.
Musical career: Taio Cruz's career began as part of RedZone Entertainment, and landed a Brit award after co-writing 'Your Game' by Will Young.
He founded Rokstarr Music London (later Rokstarr Entertainment Division aka R.E.D Inc) and unveiled debut single I Just Wanna Know in 2006.
In 2008, he released debut album 'Departure' featuring the singles 'Moving On', 'Come On Girl' ft. Luciana, 'I Can Be' and 'She's Like a Star', the remix of which appeared on Sugababes album 'Catfights & Spotlights'.
He joined Tinchy Stryder on his single 'Take Me Back' and released his second album 'Rokstarr' in 2009. Brit Award nominated lead single 'Break Your Heart' ft. Ludacris topped UK and US charts. Other singles were 'No Other One', 'Dirty Picture' ft. Kesha and triple Billboard Award winning 'Dynamite', as well as 'Higher'; one version of which featured Kylie Minogue, and the other Travie McCoy.
in 2010, he released his compilation album 'The Rokstarr Collection'.
He recorded the song 'Telling the World' for the 2011 movie 'Rio'.
Originally entitled 'Black and Leather', third album 'TY.O' was released in 2011. Prior to this, some of the tracks were leaked onto YouTube and thus later scrapped from the album. It did feature the song 'Hangover' ft. Flo Rida.
He also teamed up with David Guetta and Ludacris on the Platinum hit 'Little Bad Girl'.
He co-headlined the Australian dates of Pitbull's Planet Pit World Tour in 2012, and he played a show at the Summer Olympics in London's closing ceremony.
In 2013, he announced the release of his next album '#BLACK' for 2015 featuring single 'Do What You Like'.
Other career ventures: Taio Cruz launched an iOS social media app called Kewe.
In 2009, he launched sunglasses and accessories brand Rokstarr (later RXTR aka Riots and Twelve Rebels).
His charity work includes work with music education organisation Little Kids Rock.
Personal life: Born in London, Taio Cruz went to Bilton Grange prep school and Christ's Hospital boarding school.
