Not wishing to dwell on the semi-bad publicity of having a member leave the group, trio Take That have announced a new album, titled III. Jason Orange left the group two weeks ago, though Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen have vowed to go it as a three-piece.

Take ThatTake That will go on as Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald

Out in December - and probably ending up in your Christmas stocking - III will be the band's seventh album and is described as an "out-and-out feelgood pop" album produced by Greg Kurstin (Lana Del Rey, Katy Perry), Jeff Lynne (ELO), Stuart Price (The Killers) and John Shanks. Confirming the details on Twitter, the band also unveiled the artwork - an abstract group shot of the Orange-less guys looking triumphant - and a brand new song, These Days.

Orange, 44, decided he would not commit to recording and promoting the latest album, saying, "At the start of this year and with my full knowledge and blessing the guys began writing new material. There have been no fallings out, only a decision on my part that I no longer wish to do this ... They have my full support and encouragement to continue on with what is to be another chapter for the band."

Take That have had eight No.1 albums, fifteen No.1 singles and have sold 30 million records worldwide. The band were joined by original member Robbie Williams for the recording and release of their last album Progress, which has sold almost 3 million copies in the UK alone.

First single These Days - a pop stomper so upbeat that it borders on the ridiculous - is out on November 23, 2014.
