Fact: Empire star Taraji P. Henson refused to be rushed offstage at Sunday's (10Jan16) Golden Globe Awards as she delivered her acceptance speech for Best Actress in a TV Series - Drama. The star, who earned the title for her portrayal of convicted drug dealer and music producer Cookie Lyon, started her speech by saying, "Cookies for everyone tonight, my treat...! Who knew that playing an ex-convict would take me all around the globe...?" The music signalling her exit cue soon began playing, prompting Henson to quip, "Please wrap? Wait a minute, I waited 20 years for this! You can wait!", as she completed her thank yous.

A statement from Sidibe reads, "I've been writing since I was a child and have always had so many stories to tell that are too long, shady, and impolite to share in interviews. It brings me much joy to add Published Writer to my resume of Actor and part-time Foot Model." Sidibe follows in the footsteps of her Empire co-star Taraji P. Henson, who will release her memoir next year (16).
